Postal votes NOT DELIVERED in Nevilles Cross

by Grenville Holland on 28 April, 2021

General Election 2010: Postal vote fraud amid fears bogus voters could swing election | Daily Mail Online

I am aware that postal votes, including my own, have not been delivered in the Nevilles Cross ward, but that other wards have received them.

Please be assured your Liberal Democrat candidates, agents, and polling staff have been in close contact with Electoral Services at Durham County Council all week to find out what has happened.

The feedback from Electoral Services is other wards/divisions have had postal votes, Electoral Services have already had completed postal votes returned, and the problem is contained only to the Nevilles Cross ward.

However, if any postal voter from any ward has not received their postal votes can you please contact electoralservices@durham.gov.uk or 03000261212 so that you can receive your democratic right to vote.

I will update you once there is any more news on a delivery date, and what the council will be doing about the now clear risk of valid votes arriving ‘late’ in the Nevilles Cross elections.

Please note, after postal votes do arrive, and you have cast your votes, there are alternatives to having to use the free post return, if I do accept, these options defeat the purpose of a postal vote!

The completed postal votes in their envelopes can be

  1. Dropped off at County Hall in person (during work hours),
  2. Posted through the letterbox at County Hall (out of hours), or,
  3. Handed in at a Durham County Council polling station on Thursday 6th May (between the hours of 0700-2200), with your Nevilles Cross ward polling stations located at:

St Leonard`s Catholic School (4691), Court Yard Room (CY 1), North End

The Spiritualist Church Hall (Durham), John Street

St Johns Church Hall (Nevilles Cross), Crossgate Peth, Nevilles Cross

St Johns Church Hall (Nevilles Cross), Crossgate Peth, Nevilles Cross

The Hub, Durham University, The Approach, Durham

St Oswalds Institute, Church Street
